    Elliah Heifetz

    SONGWRITER

    Elliah Heifetz is a composer, lyricist, and pop songwriter from Philadelphia whose works have appeared on major label releases and New York stages. His first musical, Dust Can’t Kill Me, won the NYMF Award for Best Music in 2016 and the Fringe NYC Award for Best Music & Lyrics in 2014, and has been performed in concert form at (Le) Poisson Rouge (to be recorded for The Score Podcast). Other works include We Are Pilgrims, in development with Srđa Vasiljević and Jennifer Jancuska (2016 ASTIR Lab Series & BringAbout Salon). His pop writing is published by The Brain Music. A recent graduate of Yale, Elliah has studied with Jeanine Tesori and Michael Korie.

    Srđa Vasiljević

    DIRECTOR

    Srđa Vasiljević is a Bosnian-American director living and working in New York City. His work has been seen at La MaMa, Theatre for One, 24 Hour Plays and Dixon Place. Srđa’s has worked on The Laramie Project Cycle at BAM, Deaf West's Spring Awakening and the New York Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. His work draws inspiration from the millennial era, refugee storytelling techniques, queer culture, Recent projects include gay-party-play, When I Started Dating Men and ​the award-winning new folk musical, Dust Can’t Kill Me.     Jennifer Jancuska

    CHOREOGRAPER

    Jennifer Jancuska steps into 2017 with the Broadway company of HAMILTON as Resident Choreographer, choreographer of Alex Sage Oyen and S.P. Monahan's new musical DIVA with direction by Daniel Goldstein, choreographer of ARACA Group's new musical, ONE HIT WONDER with direction by Hunter Foster, choreographer of James Presson's new play, FMK alongside director, Sash Bischoff, and choreographer and Drama League Residency winner for Douglas Waterbury-Tieman's newest musical, JOHNNY AND THE DEVIL'S BOX. She will also continue directing and choreographing productions for Sea World/Busch Gardens, producing BC Beat, leading Broadway Connection as co-artistic director, and choreographing six ASTIR Labs. Development projects pushing forward with Jennifer as choreographer include the new musical adaptation of ANNE OF GREEN GABLES by Matte O’Brien and Matt Vinson, THE BAD YEARS, an immersive musical by Kait Kerrigan & Brian Lowdermilk and new works by Zack Zadek, Srđa Vasiljević and Elliah Heifetz.     Max Gordon

    ARRANGEMENTS

    Max Gordon is a music director, orchestrator, and music producer. He won the 2016 NYMF award for Best Orchestrations for Dust Can't Kill Me, a new folk musical. He has worked as an audio engineer for Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center, and as a vocal producer for artists on Universal Music Group and Capitol Records. His songwriting and production recently appeared on Charles Perry's debut album (Verve Records), and his pop band, Nero, My Panda, has opened for Diplo, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and Grouplove. Recent credits include The Skin of Our Teeth (TFNA) and orchestrations & arrangements for Remission, by Rebekah Allen.

    Aaron Porter

    LIGHTING DESIGNER

    Aaron Porter is a freelance lighting designer in Theatre, Dance and Opera. Recent designs include: ONE FLEA SPARE (Off-Broadway), SONGBIRD (Off-Broadway), GREAT AWAKENING (ARS Nova), THE STRANGEST (4th Street Theatre), HOUND OF BASKERVILLE, MARY POPPINS, and A CHRISTMAS CAROL.     Corey Ruzicanco

    PRODUCER

    Corey Ruzicano is a theatre artist from the San Francisco Bay Area. While pursuing her BFA at Emerson College she went through the Creative Producing program under P. Carl and David Dower, and continues to write for HowlRound. She has completed apprenticeships at the Lark, the Orchard Project and the 52nd Street Project and is the Creative Projects Manager of A BroaderWay and Siena Music. She is the managing editor of Stage & Candor. In New York she has assistant directed Sweet Charity (The New Group), The Boy at the Edge of Everything (Lincoln Center Education) and Dust Can’t Kill Me (NYMF), and most recently directed Doris + Cleveland (Dixon Place.)​ She is a part of Diana Oh's social movement and performance series {my lingerie play} managing social media and aiding in installations.

    Abigail Carney

    DUST CAN'T KILL ME BOOKWRITER

    Abigail Carney is a writer from rural Ohio, a place that shows up in her stories. Most recently, her play, SUNDAY MORNING, premiered at the Road Theatre and LA’s Montserrat produced her new play BLOODY SQUISHY. Her plays have also appeared at the Young Playwrights Festival, The Secret Theatre, The Yale Playwrights Festival, The New York International Fringe Festival, the Alaska Day Festival, and The Kraine Theatre. Currently, she is working on a commission for the Greater Sitka Arts Council. She has taught playwriting at New Haven Co-Op Arts High School. As a spoken word poet, she has competed and performed at Rustbelt, the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational, Brave New Voices, and opened for The Strivers Row. www.abigailcarney.com

    Adrian Blake Enscoe

    Adrian Blake Enscoe (a.k.a. Roy Dodger) is a Brooklyn-based actor and musical miscreant originally hailing from a small town called Earlville in the boonies of New York State. He can most often be spotted making music and mischief in the NYC subways with his trio of acoustic rock’n’roll ruffians, Bandits on the Run (who just released their first album, the Criminal Record !!!). Since graduating in 2012 with a BFA in Pretending from Carnegie Mellon University, he has had the pleasure of working on a plethora of projects in and around the city, including the films: Hello Again, The Greens are Gone, Seeds, and Jaime Marks is Dead; T.V. shows: Orange is the New Black and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt; and plays: Bag of Nails (reading), Servant of Two Masters (La Mama), Barbarous Nights (Invisible Dog), and the immersive theater project Lady in Red Converses with Diablo (Arts @ Renaissance).

    Kathryn Gallagher

    Kathryn Gallagher recently made her Broadway debut as the Voice of Martha/Guitar in the Spring Awakening revival and Lily in Dust Can't Kill Me at NYMF. She is a singer-songwriter who has toured/performed with Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of the Doors, the Bacon Brothers and Little Feat. She has had music featured in film/televison and independently released two EPs, I'm Fine (2014) and American Spirit (2015). @kathryng 

    Regina Strayhorn

    Regina Strayhorn is a New York based musician, actress, and proud graduate of UNCSA. She has performed in plays and staged readings at The Ensemble Studio Theatre, Dixon Place, The Secret Theatre, and Lincoln Center. Currently, Regina is studying at the Upright Citizens Brigade training center, improvising with New York’s best up and coming comedians. Most days she can be spotted as her alter ego Clarissa, surprising and serenading people around across the nation with her band, Bandits on the Run. To your ears, these whimsical criminals will sound like a nostalgic medley of old and new: strummed, plucked, and bowed away on cello and guitar, and propped up on an old timey spine of three part harmony. Their debut album, The Criminal Record, was released March 23rd.

    Garth Taylor

    A native of the Baltimore/Washington suburbs, Garth Taylor is a singer and producer currently based here, in New York City. He can most often be found performing with his R&B/Soul band, The Rooks, formed during his senior year at Wesleyan University. After moving to NYC with the band in the summer of 2012, Garth has continued to record, tour, and perform with his group, as well as artists like fast-rapping, YouTube phenom, George Watsky, Hungarian legend and The Voice finalist, Viktor Kiraly, and most importantly, himself, in the bathroom mirror.

    Sydney Torin Shepherd

    Sydney Shepherd is an actress, singer, and musician living in Brooklyn, NY. She made her Broadway debut in the musical First Date as the standby for all female roles in the show. She was seen as Agnes/Gretchen in Jasper In Deadland at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, and reprised her role for the Jasper In Deadland world premiere cast album. Her film acting work includes the indies i****you, Groove, and Animal Planet's Monsters Inside Me. Sydney has been involved in workshops, readings, and developmental labs of many new shows, most notably the stage musical adaptation of the film August Rush. She is currently playing Viola in Illyria, a musical adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, at Prospect Theatre Company. She is a founding member of the band Bandits On The Run, who have just released their debut album, The Criminal Record on Spotify, iTunes, and all online platforms! In addition to cello, she also plays ukulele, banjo, guitar, dulcimer, and celtic harp. Graduate of University of North Carolina School of The Arts BFA Drama.
